Felipe Massa completed a day of testing with Jaguar's Formula E challenger, qualifying the ride as "completely different" to anything he has experienced in his career.

The test, which apparently was conducted in Spain, came about as Jaguar Panasonic Racing's FE outfit is run in partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering.

Massa initially sought  to race in the all-electric series after retiring from F1, and indeed was rumored to even have a deal signed and sealed. But  the Brazilian ultimately decided answer Williams' calling to remain in F1 for another year following Valtteri Bottas' move to Mercedes.

"I would like to thank Panasonic Jaguar Racing for giving me this opportunity," said Massa.

"It was great to experience a Formula E car as it's something completely different to anything I've driven previously.

"The different power, brakes, tyres and downforce mean it requires quite a different driving style. I'm happy with the experience and what I have learnt.

"Overall, it's been a really fun day."
