City of Nice to unveil 'Jules Bianchi Street'

The French city of Nice on the Riviera will honor the memory of Jules Bianchi by unveiling a street named after the deceased Formula 1 driver.

Jules succumbed in July 2015 to the horrendous head injuries he suffered after a high-speed crash at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix, when the Marussia driver lost control on the rain-soaked track and collided with a recovery vehicle.

Nice mayor Philippe Pradal and Metropole president Christian Estrosi announced that a street ceremony shall take place in Nice next Monday, January 23.

The family of Jules Bianchi have taking legal action against the FIA and the Formula One Group of companies following their son's death the family lawyesr say was "avoidable".

Bianchi's death was the first resulting from an F1 accident since that of Ayrton Senna in the San Marino Grand Prix in 1994.
