The provisional entry list for the 2017 Formula 1 World Championship was issued yesterday by the FIA, with the only oddity being that four seats with three teams have yet to allocated.

Obviously, there is a blank number at Mercedes as the manufacturer ponders its choice for next season, but Sauber also has a vacant seat while Manor has two.

Other distinctions are the race numbers chosen by rookies Stoffel Vandoorne and Lance Stroll, respectively numbers 2 and 18.

Red Bull shall remain labeled Red Bull-TAG Heuer, despite using Renault engines, while Toro-Rosso switches back to Renault from Ferrari next year, although the Faenza squad may also chose to rebage its power unit.
