Kimi Raikkonen says Ferrari is “much more ready for this year” ahead of the first race of the 2015 season.

Ferrari enjoyed an encouraging pre-season as the SF15-T was immediately quick at the first test and showed good reliability throughout the tinter. Heading in to Sunday’s Australian Grand Prix, Raikkonen says he is confident the car will be more to his liking than its predecessor but is still aware of the progress that needs to be made to be fighting for race wins.

“Obviously winter testing was OK so we feel better overall as a team how everything has run,” Raikkonen said. “I’m sure we are much more ready for this year, but are we always going to get what we want? Time will tell, probably it’s not always going to be as nice as you with but I think that’s pretty normal.

“So I think we’re in a much stronger position, but I guess we still have a lot of work to do to be where we really want to be but that’s part of the game. We have to be happy with where we are right now at least after testing, compared to where we finished last year.

“We’ve done a good job, but we’ll have to wait and see if it’s good enough or how far off we are.”
