Lewis Hamilton believes that Formula 1 drivers should be allowed to cross over to different racing series, following Fernando Alonso upcoming trip to Indy.
The Spanish driver's decision to tackle the 'greatest race on earth' is at the top everyone's topic list in Bahrain, and drivers were naturally questioned about the McLaren drivers' endeavour.
I think it's great that a driver is able to do that," Hamilton said about Alonso's Indy 500 stint.
"I think us drivers should be able to do more than one series. There was a period of time in the past where there were drivers doing multiple series. I think it's pretty cool that he's doing it."
Hamilton insisted he wouldn't miss an F1 race to experience another category of motorsport but he would like one day to try his hand at MotoGP!
"I wouldn't miss any of the races in F1, definitely continue to do all the races," Hamilton said.
"I'd like to do MotoGP. I'd like to ride a MotoGP race. Probably a NASCAR race like the Daytona 500 maybe."
