Manor will have a heavily updated car for the British Grand Prix, while it is also set to unveil a new sponsor and livery tweak.

The team is introducing the first new parts to its car since the start of 2014, with Manor finally getting its wind tunnel program back up and running after exiting administration ahead of the start of the year. The upgrade will see changes to a number of areas including the front wing, nose, sidepods, rear bodywork and rear wing, while there is also a complete new floor.

A new sponsor will feature on the sidepod of the car, and Will Stevens says he is excited to see the team advancing on numerous fronts.

“We do have upgrades, so it will be interesting to see how much that is going to improve us,” Stevens said. “Initially they look pretty good, so we’ll have to wait and see.

“Clearly the car is going to look different in all aspects this weekend, obviously we’ve got new aero parts and some things going on the car. Every day, every week, we’re moving forward as a team. As I’ve always said, the team has got an exciting future and I’m excited to be part of it.

“So every weekend we’re moving forward and here is obviously going to be one of the bigger weekends in terms of moving forward. So we’ll take it slowly and see how the weekend goes.”

Stevens also says he is relishing the opportunity to prove his worth in terms of car development having yet to experience any updates in F1.

“The whole way through my career I’ve always loved developing stuff and trying to help the engineers with the direction I believe we should be going in. That’s what F1 is all about, you need to be good with your feedback and point the team in the right direction where I think lap time is going to get improved the most. That’s where I feel strong and where I feel I can give good feedback. These updates have been coming for a while so it will be interesting to see how it all works.”
