Mick Schumacher has taken his maiden single seater victory by winning the final race of his debut Formula 4 weekend in Germany.
The son of seven-time F1 world champion Michael, Schumacher is racing for Van Amersfoort Racing in the German ADAC F4 Championship this year, with this weekend's meeting in Oschersleben marking his first three single seater races after graduating from karts.
Schumacher finished ninth in the opening race of the weekend on Saturday, before he came home 12th in the second race on Sunday morning. That result left Schumacher in second place on the reverse grid for the final race, which he duly converted to victory ahead of fellow Van Amersfoort Racing driver Joey Mawson.
The results of the opening weekend leave Schumacher in fifth place in the championship on 27 points, while he is also leading the rookie standings. The third Van Amersfoort Racing driver is Harrison Newey - son of Red Bull designer Adrian - who is 12th in the overall standings after the first three races.
