Ferrari F2004 - 2004

Although Schumacher broke Fangio’s record at the wheel of the Ferrari F2003-GA (named after Gianni Agnelli, the head of Fiat who had died in late January 2003), the Scuderia’s 2003-spec was not as successful as its predecessors. The Scuderia recovered brilliantly in 2004 though, producing one of the most dominant cars in F1 history in the F2004.

Schumacher won 11 of the first 12 races and sealed his seventh title at the next round in Belgium, though he had to settle for the runner-up spot behind McLaren’s Kimi Raikkonen in Spa. The German added a 13th victory in Japan to set a record only matched by Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel in 2013.
