Maybe it’s the emotions, maybe it’s the pressure, but for some reason Mexico’s favourite son seems to always come up short in his home GP. While he was yet again bested by Ocon in qualifying, Sergio did get off the line strong but was never a threat to his team mate. While it helped others, the VSC was not what Pérez wanted to see as Räikkönen and Stroll were able to get by.
