Obviously, for Ferrari's home race, Vettel was hoping for more than a spot on the third step of the podium, seeing Ricciardo looming in his mirrors and losing the championship lead for the first time this season. Whether in the dry or the wet, the Ferrari was simply not at its best at Monza. Quickly rid of Stroll, Ocon and Kimi, Seb had to secure a decent points haul while waiting for better days, like Singapore.
