Morally, the young Belgian should feel good about seeing the chequers. However, in qualifying he was, once again, no match for Alonso in not making it out of the first drop zone. After a great start when he found himself ahead of Fernando, Stoffel then fell back into position, 15to 20 kph slower on the long straights he was a sitting duck for those coming from behind.
