Nigel Mansell
Technically, Nigel Mansell was no longer in Formula 1 when he raced at the Indy 500 in 1993 and '94, although he did return to Williams that year for a four-race bout of Grand Prix racing, which is why we've included our Nige. 'Red 5' finished third on his first visit to Indy but retired on his second trip to the Brickyard in 1994.
