Nigel Mansell’s 1995 stint with McLaren was off to a bad start when the 1992 world champion struggled to fit his frame into the small MP4/10 cockpit, with Mark Blundell driving the car over the first two race weekends.

A couple of disappointing outings in San Marino and Spain spelt the end of Mansell’s career in the top flight, as the Brummie made a rather low-key exit after electrifying the sport for 15 years.
