Warriors of the early 70s meet again

Between them, these two famous warriors from the early 70s share five world championships, but also a lot of history

Sir Jackie Stewart and Emerson Fittipaldi's rivalry, which also opposed Tyrrell and Team Lotus, was at the forefront of Grand Prix racing's affairs in 1972 and 73.

The Brazilian burst onto the scene in 1970 and became F1's youngest world champion two years later. But Stewart turned the tables on his rival the following season, clinching his third crown in his final F1 year.

Decades have since passed, their combined 41 victories remain, as well as their mutual respect and friendship.
