Yesterday's horrific and vile terrorist attack in Barcelona spread shock and sadness throughout Spain and much of the rest of world.
Fernando Alonso posted a message on social media in which he says his heart goes out to all those affected by Thursday's dramatic events in the capital of Catalunya.
"What sadness everything is happening in Barcelona. My support for the families of the victims, wounded, in these hard times," he posted on Twitter.
McLaren followed its driver, as well as other members of the F1 community, tweeting "The thoughts of everybody at McLaren are with people of Barcelona".
