Jochen Mass' single Grand Prix victory

On this day in 1975, Jochen Mass won the Spanish Grand Prix at Montjuic, collecting the only F1 win of his career.

Unfortunately, the race that year is remembered as one of the most controversial and tragic race weekends in the sport's history after the death of five spectators who were hit by the crashing Hill of Rolf Stommelen.

The race was halted after 29 laps, shortly after tragedy struck, and because the event was stopped before three-fourths of the scheduled race distance was reached, only half points were awarded.
