It's cheers to Danny Sullivan who turns 68-years-young today. This Kentucky kid's effort in Formula 1 was not without merit.
The American showed good potential in his single year in F1 with Ken Tyrrell in 1983. His best result came at Monaco where Sullivan hustled his nimble Tyrrell-Ford 011 to fifth place. In the end though, he would find his calling in Indycar, winning the prestigious Indy 500 with Team Penske in 1985.
Sullivan is still a frequent visitor to the F1 paddock, often officiating as an FIA Drivers' Steward.
